Hi, first of all i'm sorry for my english.

I've three problems with Bareos:

1º Sometimes the Storage and/or File daemons freezes and backups fails.
I come from Bacula and I never had this problem, but isn't the first time that file daemon freezes in any of servers in less than a month and now storage daemon freezes too. When that file daemon freezes, all backup keeps waiting even if I've configured to more than a job at same time, then maybe is an storage problem.

2º I can't query the job status from a clien while a job is running. The director still connecting until I exit with ctrl+c.
I'm planning to open a bug/feature request, because some of the servers still with bacula file daemon and i can query how's the backup job even while is running, then director is working fine.

3º Bareos decided to open a lot of backup volume by itself.
I don't know why, but sometimes Bareos decides to create a lot of volumes by itself. Today for example has created 1 volume when the latest was filled (this is normal), but then that volume was filled and bareos decides to create 19 volumes (Why?)...

Someone can help me with these problems?. The first is important, because if backup freezes then don't have a backup of that day...

Did you check the concurrency number on all daemons.
From what I've checked here it's 1 = 1 compared to what bacula offer.
if Maximum Concurrent Jobs = 20 is everywhere you got 20 connections pipe.

Just about point 3 : are you sure you didn't get full partitions ?
and sometimes a volume expire, allowing the backup to proceed a bit more ?

I'll check it, but it fixes the second problem. Do you know anything about first problem?, because for example yesterday i had problems with backup and was storage daemon and the server didn't had running jobs.

Is a tape drive, then I think don't care partition space, but anyway the server has about 2.3TB free space, and the jobs took only about 40GB of spool space. Is very strange because doesn't happen always, is only sometimes.

Thanks for your help!!.

I forgot to say that all volumes are in "append" mode and don't have any info about size, last write date..., and when i insert a new tape then use the first of all. Basically label a lot of volumes.

Greetings!!
