Hello

I want to test bareos director disaster recovery. I have a catalog backup and a catalog bootstrap file.

The docs says to use run/RestoreFiles and...

If you are using the default Bareos Director configuration, this Job will be named RestoreFiles. Most likely it will prompt you with something such as:
Run Restore job JobName: RestoreFiles Bootstrap: /home/user/bareos/working/restore.bsr Where: /tmp/bareos-restores Replace: always FileSet: Full Set Client: bareos-fd Storage: File When: 2012-12-12 17:33:40 Catalog: MyCatalog Priority: 10 OK to run? (yes/mod/no):
This is not what happens. It asks instead for JobID, which I know, but I find strange that documentation doesn't mention that knowing JobID is necessary for bootstrap recovery.

What am I missing?

Two years ago I wrote a memo for this.
It is for old version of bareos, but basically should work

Thanks! Great memo.

Tested your procedure. Works perfectly.

Hello Paco,

as the documentation seems not to be good enough in that point, and you now found out how to to it,
it would be great if you would consider to create a documentation PR to make the documentation better!

Thank you very much!
