I am trying to test ndmp backup of a netapp filer on a tape library.

The status of ndmp client is good, but when it try to write on the tape i receive an error, i think on a rewind operation.

Do you think that this problem is in configuration or in some incompatibility beetween bareos and tape drive via ndmp?

Thanks a lot.

What its complaining about it the fact that it cannot connect to the NDMP
TAPE AGENT in the BAREOS Storage Daemon (SD). Is there a firewall between
the appliance and the SD ? Also make sure you have the SD listening on
port 10000 (NDMP). From a distance this looks like config or network problem.
Or do you have your SD address as 127.0.0.1 that also won't work as then
the NDMP appliance tries to connect to localhost.

Please verify your config using the new config chapter on NDMP

Marco thank you for your answer. In effect there was a problem of routing beetwen sd and appliance. I resolved it with a static route on the filer. Thank so much also for your great work.

Best Regards

Hi

I have the same problem but in my case it seems not to be a routing problem.
