Hi all,

Just getting started in my Bareos journey.  However, it has already saved our bacon once when the primary backup system failed dismally.

One problem I am still having is restoring files via the web gui.

While it works fine and at a great speed if there are more than a few thousand files in a particular folder it will time out before getting the to conformation popup.

So we end up restoring files in batches.. which will doable is not ideal.

What do i need to increase to get around this ... I am assuming it is some sort of time out.

The docs refer to this section

/etc/bareos-webui/configuration.ini

[restore]
; Restore filetree refresh timeout after n milliseconds
; Default: 120000 milliseconds
filetree_refresh_timeout=120000
but that does not exist in my config

Hi,

as far as i know bareos-webui is php based, so there might be an timeout on the php side.

https://www.php.net/manual/en/function.set-time-limit.php

Hope this helps

cheers

OK great

editing

/etc/php/7.2/apache2/php.ini

and restarting apache

seemed do the trick (increase max ram / execution)

The only oddity is that rather than get the summary a simply box with "drirector : ok" appears.. but the files transferred over in 1 batch

thanks again
