[BAREOS-SERVER] - Update of bareos 16.2.4 to 18.2.5

Hello

Is it possible to update my backup server bareos version 16.2.4 directly to version 18.2.5?

Or do I have to go through an intermediate update such as

Bareos 16.2.4 => Bareos 17.X => Bareos 18.2.5?

Yes. However, there is a bug in the Debian/Ubuntu/Univention packaging
for 18.2.5 so that dbconfig-common will not do the schema-update and
your would have to do it yourself by invoking update_bareos_tables
manually (just like you would do on any other distribution).

Please note that the schema change from 16 to 17 can take a really long
time.

It is probably also a good idea to have another copy of your
catalog-database just in case something doesn't work.
