Dependency failed for Bareos File Daemon service

Hi list,

The bareos-filedaemon.service of one of my ubuntu 18.04 clients stopped to work after a regular security update and restart of the Ubuntu client.

 

I tried to start it again, but it returns the following error:

 Dependency failed for Bareos File Daemon service

So I purged and removed the bareos services on the machine with the command: apt-get --purge remove

Now, when trying to re-install it, I run into the following error:

bareos-filedaemon.service: Job bareos-filedaemon.service/start failed with result 'dependency'.

...

dpkg --configure -a and apt-get install -f did not solve the problem.

Any ideas which dependency this might be?
