Hi list,

just built a bnew Linux backup server and started using Bareos. That being said, I've managed to create custom fileset, schedule, etc. for the first client and ran a full backup. Then I wanted to test restoring some of the data, trying it on some files in /etc, but they all turned out to be garbage. The first line (or like 80 chars) are text and agree 100% with the original file, but the rest is binary nonsense, though the filesize seems to be correct. I wonder what's going on here?

Best,
Matthias

was originally a shot in the dark, but the server uses original packages from bareos.org (version 15.2.2-37.1) while client uses package from Debian Testing. Applying some Apt magic and pinning to downgrade the client solved the problem.
