Hello,
there's not much documentation about this indeed, at
https://docs.bareos.org/IntroductionAndTutorial/BareosWebui.html it says:
Plugin options
Provide a plugin options string here if required. The field is only shown if a fileset using a plugin is detected.
The "Merge all client fileset" setting must be set to "No" for restoring a VMware plugin job with the WebUI, then all files
must be selected for restore and a plugin options string can be entered as described at
https://docs.bareos.org/TasksAndConcepts/Plugins.html#vmware-plugin
If the plugin option string is left empty, the restore will overwrite the existing same existing VM from which the backup
was taken, this will only work if the VM is switched off.
I've tested restore of a VMware plugin job via WebUI successfully.
Probably we'll add an example to the VMware plugin section of the documentation in the future.
Regards,
Stephan
