SEPTEMBER SERENADE

 

Port Townsend soprano Linda Bach and mezzo-soprano Nancy Grunewald, from Pullman, Washington, will present a recital of opera excerpts, English, French, German and Russian art songs on Saturday, September 28^th, 7:30 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 1120 Walker Street, Port Townsend.  Featured will be the “Lakme Flower Duet” from the opera Lakme by Delibe; “Rusalka’s Song to the Moon” from the opera Rusalka by Dvorak; “Margaretes Vuggesang” by Grieg; and a fun, fast-paced duet, “La Regata Veneziana”, by Rossini.  Pianists Helen Lauritzen and Caroline Germain accompany.  Refreshments follow.  There is a suggested $10 donation at the door.  Doors open at 7:00.  For more info., call Linda Bach at (360) 344-3658.
