Is there a creative teenager in your life? Northwind Art School is offering a summer workshop especially for teens on Risograph printing and zine making, Wednesday, July 31. Now's the time to sign up while spots are still open. Participants age 13-17 will get to learn all about the Risograph and create art zines — illustrated booklets — to share with their friends. Local Risograph artist Shannon Kidd is thrilled to offer this introductory course for youth, covering Risograph printing basics, a quick history, and a complete workshop on building zines. Students can use zines to tell stories, teach a skill, share a recipe and build community; everyone in this class will get to take home a stack of zines to share. "Let's Print!," says Shannon.
