"Songs of Summer" @ Cellar Cat
Jonas Myers, Marina Christopher & Jonathan Doyle
21+ • $25 tickets

Port Townsend pianist/vocalist/composer Jonas Myers is the 2026 Artist-in-Residence at Cellar Cat, a cozy venue with an excellent wine selection just one block from the Kingston ferry. Joining him this month: Seattle bassist/vocalist Marina Christopher and Port Townsend saxophonist/clarinetist Jonathan Doyle. This exciting trio will perform songs with a seasonal theme.

MARINA CHRISTOPHER is a rising star in the Seattle jazz scene. Earshot Jazz Magazine named her the Emerging Artist of 2017, and she took home the honorable mention from the Kobe-Seattle Jazz Vocalist contest in 2018. Her style of jazz enthusiastically embraces the music of pop and RnB, and her bass playing, singing and song-writing has an infectious feeling of joy. Marina’s trio is a rotating roster of top players in Seattle. Do not miss the artist The Seattle Times declared one “you should get to know."

Port Townsend saxophonist/clarinetist JONATHAN DOYLE is celebrated for his timeless sound and his musical depth and passion. He has performed with Willie Nelson, Asleep at the Wheel, and the Jim Cullum Jazz Band, among many others. He's appeared at the Grand Ole Opry and Ryman Auditorium, at Preservation Hall, on Austin City Limits TV show, at Jazz At Lincoln Center’s Midsummer Night’s Swing, and major festivals such as Chicago Jazz Fest, Chicago Blues Fest, New Orleans Jazz Fest, French Quarter Festival in New Orleans, Detroit Jazz Fest, and Umbria Jazz Fest. He’s also busked on street corners from New Orleans and Mexico to Australia and Europe.
