Sat May 9 A Woodcut Printmaking and Print Exchange workshop is for all levels at Northwind Art. "Come for the art, stay for the community," teaching artist Charles Spitzack says of this special offering. Whether you're completely new to printmaking or looking to revisit the process with fresh eyes, this class offers a welcoming space to explore, create, and connect with others through art.
All supplies are provided, including traditional Japanese washi paper and non-toxic inks, so you can create striking, high-contrast prints. Then, at the end of the class, you'll swap prints with your fellow participants, building a small collection of original artworks and celebrating the diversity of creative voices in the room. For details and to sign up, visit https://northwindart.org/collections/courses, and scroll to Woodcut Printmaking on May 9. This workshop is a chance to try something new, express yourself through print, and walk away with both your own handmade work and a deeper appreciation for the printmaking process. And Charles is a great teacher. Pictured: "Purple Rain," a print by Charles Spitzack.
