Tacoma-based live music promoter LTD Presents LIVE is proud to present the legendary saxophonist and vocalist Terry Hanck for two exciting shows (Thursday, September 25 in Tacoma and Friday, September 26 in Port Townsend). With a pedigree that rivals the most accomplished rhythm and blues sax players, Hanck’s take on a joyous jump blues romp, a soul rave-up, or steamy slow dance is not to be missed! Terry and his band are touring in support of his brand-new, critically acclaimed album “Grease to Gravy,” released in June by Little Village Foundation.
These are Terry’s only shows in Washington this year and seats are extremely limited.

Born in Chicago, Hanck was influenced by the blues, soul and jazz of the 1950s and early 1960s. He moved to California in 1965, knew it was home, and by 1970 hit the blues-rock-funk scene.
Hanck met Elvin Bishop in 1972 and was the featured sax player on the iconic, "Fooled Around and Fell In Love." After turning Bishop down twice, Hanck relented and went on to tour with him starting in 1977, before leaving to tour and record with his own band for almost 30 years. Elvin Bishop provided Hanck, according to Mindy Giles, “a worldwide stage to growl, squonk, soar and soothe on his tenor sax.” Bishop himself said, “Terry Hanck is a fine vocalist, an amazing showman and my favorite sax player.”
Terry Hanck LIVE in the PNW will be backed by Terry's longtime guitarist, Johnny Cat Soubrand, LTD's own Lorenzo Farrell of Rick Estrin & The Nightcats on keys and David Hudson of the T-Town Aces on drums with Tacoma favorite Brady Kish on bass.
