Wed-Thu June 24-25: The Marbling on Paper craft workshop at Northwind Art is a chance to learn how to float color on water, create beautiful patterns using combs and stylus tools, and make your own one-of-a-kind marbled prints on paper. Visit https://northwindart.org/collections/courses to find out more and sign up for this two-day class at Northwind's Fort Worden studios. You'll learn the essentials and then dive into guided experimentation with color, rhythm, and design. You’ll leave class with a collection of finished marbled papers, perfect for framing as art, card making, gift wrapping, box making, collage and other keepsake gift ideas. No experience necessary— teaching artist Lisa Anderson will provide all of the materials and guidance.
In this workshop, you'll get to use your paper to make an art journal, and you'll explore other ways to use your prints, including covering boxes of various shapes, making fans, decorating pencils, mixed media art/collage and various other paper crafts.
