Mon Jun 29 - Sat July 18: Northwind Art's Summer Gala is a picnic with art, food and inspiration, and early-bird-priced tickets are on sale now. The event on Saturday, Aug. 29 has a Picnic in the Park theme — and it'll be under the big tent beside Northwind Art School at Fort Worden State Park. Tickets include a delicious meal from Mo-Chilli BBQ, a variety of refreshing beverages, live music from the band Ants Misbehavin,' a fun art-making activity, a quick live auction led by emcee Paul Rogers and celebrated sculptor George Rodriguez' short, inspirational talk on art and community. The early-bird ticket price is good through July 18, so you can purchase a  ticket, a pair of tickets or a festive round table for 8.
