Come to the Port Townsend Community Center, Thursday July 23rd at 6:00pm to learn about what you can do from Sawyer McCrabb, Executive Director of Fix Democracy First.  Our State Senator Mike Chapman is cosponsoring a bill in Olympia that will block corporations' ability to participate in election spending if they want to do business in our state.  A similar bill was recently passed in Hawaii, and Montana voters will vote on a similar ballot measure this fall.  Now is the time for Washington residents to get active and build support for passage of a new law in our state.

Fix Democracy First is a Seattle-based non-partian organization leading the charge to undermine Citizens United at the state level.  Get informed about their effort to strip corporations of the ability to engage in election activity one state at a time.  You can actually do something to protect Washington State from the scourge of elections awash in money.  This presentation is hosted by the Jefferson County Democrats, but everyone who cares about elections by the people for the people, AKA "natural persons" is invited to attend, ask questions, and get involved if you wish.
