POETRY! Valentine’s Day, 7 pm, Wheeler Theater

Join Poetry on the Salish Sea for an evening of poetry on Valentine’s Day, February 14 at 7 pm, at Wheeler Theater, in Fort Worden. Fourteen poets from around the Salish Sea will each read one of their own love poems & a love poem by a poet they love.

The event is free. Parking is plentiful. Donations gratefully accepted at the door.

Since Poetry on the Salish Sea began in 2023, we’ve been about community. Poets of all persuasions. Faithful poetry lovers. Newcomers just discovering poetry. We’ve come together as a community to hear terrific poetry read by poets from near and far— our spirits lifted, truths told. As Miss Dickinson said: Poetry can take the top of your head off. And return us to the ground of our own hearts.

Afterwards, you’re invited to join us at Taps at the Guardhouse, directly across the street from Wheeler Theater. Enjoy great conversations & yummy treats. Meet the poets & buy their books.
