Sat Aug 15 Update: Today's artists' talk at 3 p.m. will also feature Loran Scruggs, along with the three other makers in the Migration exhibit. Initially Loran couldn't make it, but now she will be able to join the conversation. Loran, with Port Townsend artists Kate Flores and Mary O'Shaughnessy and Tucson, Ariz., artist Carolyn King, will discuss the rich variety of art in the show. The place is Northwind Art's Jeanette Best Gallery, 701 Water St. in downtown Port Townsend, so allow extra time to find parking, or take the free Jefferson Transit downtown shuttle (from Haines Place park and ride, https://jeffersonstransit.com). 

Migration features art exploring movement and resilience — of wildlife, people and ideas — in art media including clay, glass, gouache, tin cans, charcoal, embroidery and more. Information and images are at https://northwindart.org.  Pictured: "Warbler" by Loran Scruggs.
