Sat Aug. 15: The artists discuss the "Migration" exhibit at Northwind Art in a free 3 p.m. talk in the gallery, to which the public is invited. Kate Flores and Mary O'Shaughnessy of Port Townsend and Carolyn King of Tucson, Ariz., will chat about their art involving the movement of people, wildlife and ideas across the world. Flores' art is an ode to the sandhill cranes who migrate across the country; O'Shaughnessy delves into her Celtic heritage and how migrants have sustained themselves; King has created a series titled "El Espíritu de Las Abuelas" (The Spirit of the Grandmothers). Bring your curiosity and your questions and join the discussion, and for more information about the "Migration" exhibit and other Northwind activities, see https://northwindart.org
