Brazilian Zouk Dance Workshops & Fusion Dance, Oct. 17

Join us October 17th at Madrona Mind-Body Institute for a super-fun double-workshop where you will learn BRAZILIAN ZOUK, the dance that has been sweeping the country, followed by our Roots Fusion evening dance!

We are flying in Rachel Leigh Farley, one of America’s top Zouk instructors, from Denver just for this workshop series. Rachel is a FABULOUS teacher! Perfect for anyone who wants to add this beautiful and sensual dance to their repertoire. Beginners welcome!

WORKSHOPS LIMITED TO 40 PARTICIPANTS

WORKSHOP DETAILS:
1:30-3:30 PM Unit 1: Footwork and foundations - all levels
(Can take alone or with Unit 2 below)
Embody Brazilian Zouk the right way - from the ground up
Hour 1 will be a solo exploration of footwork and technique
Hour 2 will be applications in partnership

3:45-5:45 PM Unit 2: Connection and Flow
(Unit 1 or Brazilian Zouk experience is prerequisite)
This unit will include the magic of “zouk hugs”, the application of isolation movements and waves, the importance of presence and stillness, and tools for enjoying every dance.

7:00-10:00 PM Evening Roots Fusion Dance with DJ Rachel Optional pre-workshop "lunch 'n' learn" (bring your own snacks) on the neurobiology of partner dance, all included with your ticket!
