Longtime Master Gardener Sarah Fairbank will cover how to prepare the garden bed, including choosing the right exposure and soil mixture, what kind of gravel and rock to incorporate, and watering and maintaining the garden.  Be surprised by some of the minute cousins of big-in-stature plants that also grow well here.

This talk, sponsored by the Jefferson County Master Gardener Foundation and the WSU Master Gardener Program takes place September 11 at 3:00pm in the WSU Extension classroom, Kivley Center, 97 Oak Bay Road, Port Hadlock, and is free and open to the public.
