This movement started after Renee Good’s death in Minneapolis to oppose ICE, authoritarianism and injustice through nonviolent public demonstrations. These gatherings are intended to foster community strength, mourning and solidarity. As of the end of February, there have been 125 chapters formed across the nation, and also one in Canada.
Please join us Saturday, March 7 from 1 to 2 PM to sing easy to learn uplifting and positive songs as a form of peaceful resistance.
We will meet at Speakers Park at E. Sims Way and Kearney Street, west of the Food Co-op and near to Chase Bank .
We will have a sign-up for you to receive notices via email if you are interested in being notified of future events.
It is possible we will have a singing event on Wednesday March 25, stay tuned for more information. That gathering will bea few days before the No Kings rally, which is on Saturday March 28, at which we will be singing.
