Washington Farmlands Trust Fundraiser
Saturday Feb 21st, 10:00-5:00
Quimper Grange - 1219 Corona Ave, Port Townsend
A family-friendly collection of Sasa’s kiddo entertainment, the Combo Choro Trio, Lost in the Shuffle blues, Partner Dance, and a silent auction for locally sourced items will delight and amaze. Open to all, participation is by donation. All proceeds will benefit the non-profit WA Farmlands Trust to aid the Washington State farmers affected by December’s flooding.
Sasa will present a treat for the young and young at heart with her colorful and engaging puppetry, clowning and stories. Previously from the Skagit Valley (where much of the flooding occurred), she has relocated her talents to Port Townsend. Treats from the Skagit will be provided during her performance from 10:00-11:45.
The Combo Choro Trio will pool their talents, experience and passion in an engaging performance: Al Bergstein on mandolin, Julian Catford on guitar and cavaquihno, Teresa Catford on pandeiro & percussion. Combo Choro will entertain from 12:00-1:15 pm.
Lost in the Shuffle returns to the Grange with blues, guitar and harmonica meshing to poignant harmony to support this very worthy cause. Ralph will play from 1:30-2:45 pm.
Partner Dance with Cheri & Doug, back by popular demand, offer Cheri’s curated selection of danceable tunes for any and all. Come refresh your swing, two-step, waltz, etc steps while meeting friends old and new. Dance will occur between 3:00-5:00 pm.
Between 12-4, a Silent Auction is also offered. Many highly desirable objects will be taken home by lucky winners, including 3 dozen oysters, weeding certificates from master weeders, Jamestown canned salmon and other delicacies, dance lessons, amazing baked goods, etc.
Come any time during the event - there is something for everyone!
