Sun., Dec. 21: Solstice Spiral at Northwind Art School: Join us on the winter solstice for an indoor solstice spiral. This is a quiet, introspective, and peaceful ritual. We will honor the turning of the season by gathering in a dark room illuminated by one candle. One by one we will walk the spiral, each lighting another candle, to symbolize a journey into the dark and the return of light. The room will grow brighter with each candle lit as we observe the seasonal cycle and connect with nature and ourselves. Learn more and sign up at https://northwindart.org.
We will be accompanied by gentle music. Attire is festive if you wish, or casual. But please, no dangling tassels or long flowing dresses. Think in terms of having lit candles near your ankles.
