I have spent the past hour and a half trying to link to my yahoo and have been chatting with one of the sales guys but he has been unable to help me. I have set up filters which has whitelisted hubspot and have tried all of the other tips and troubleshooting but to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I do this?

Why it was not working. HubSpot set the email system up as an app and if you look at your web browser it will say something like -settings-email/9894857/email/connectedEmails so it is viewed by yahoo as an app.

Follow peaksclothing's instructions, but use this link in step 2: At the bottom of that page, click on the link "Generate app passwords." The link will be "Manage app passwords" if you already have any passwords set up for other apps.

This allows me to make the connection, but it gets disconnected after sending multiple emails. I've gone back and forth with hubspot and yahoo support and nobody can figure out why i'm losing connection. Any help would be appeciated

Thanks for taking the time to map this out. I'm working with it but having a disconnect on step 10: Click on Integrations then email Integrations. "Email Integrations" doesn't show up. I'm chatting with HS and they say yahoo is not supported then we sent them this community page and they indicate I should share a screenshot to ask what others do here. I'm not able to get through step 10. They pointed us to some IMAP workaround but that isn't working.

If you are still experiencing issues with connecting your inbox, can you please share (either through here or direct message) the information requested here. I am happy to assist further once we have this information!

SO this works when im initially connecting. however, when i start blasting out emails through hubspot with my yahoo small busines account, it randomly disconnects. Ive talked to yahoo AND hubspot, and nobody can figure out why its kicking me off when i send emails. some emails work but others get disconnected. Can anyone help?

If you've tried a lot of times without any success, it may be worth clearing your cache to ensure there are no cached errors causing further issues (or preventing the right information from connecting).

you are looking to set this up using IMAP and SMTP settings correct? I know this is the standard article on this for trying to configure those options. -notifications/what-are-the-technical-requirements-for-connecting...

We tried all of those - with the whitelisting and filter option. I have no idea how to do the IMAP/STMP. We are a small community beneficial society who has just been awarded funding so have not IT support so it is just me trying to figure it out. The sales guy said that other users use yahoo and to post here asking for advice as to what to do next

Whenever I try to add my yahoo account to k9 it gives me error saying incorrect username or password. I checked the username and password and they are correct. I am able to add account with the same credentials in bluemail app but for some reason I am unable to add my account to k9mail.

Generally, you will want to generate a separate app-specific password for every device you use. This maximizes security, and makes it easy to revoke permission for just one device should it get lost or stolen.

I wanted to make a post to the community to see what other people are doing about this issue. We currently have a support case open with Palo for this and has been open for quite some time. Long story short, users that have previously logged into a Yahoo account and have a session cookie are able to somehow circumvent security policy and the app sometimes is parsed as App-ID "SSL" instead of "yahoo-mail-base."

Even with the decryption applied, the sessions are still sometimes getting misparsed and users are still able to access Yahoo Mail. Again, this is directly related to if the user has logged into a Yahoo account before or not; if the person has never previously logged into a Yahoo account, the access is blocked completely.

I have not seen such issue before. So the because the SSL decrypton does not work always the the App-ID does not match correctly the yahoo app-id (Because of this App-ID "SSL" instead of "yahoo-mail-base." maybe the SSL decryption is not happening)?

Also maybe when the users have accessed the yahoo and when they access it a second time a "secure renegotiation" is triggered and not a full handshake and maybe this causes the firewall not to be able to decrypt the traffic

While there are more ways to communicate than ever before, email remains the key way most people are managing tasks and obligations on a daily basis. The way people are using email is changing, so Yahoo Mail is redesigning the inbox experience to help people stay organized and accomplish their goals.

Starting today, Yahoo Mail is rolling out one of the most significant updates to its desktop experience in nearly a decade. With most email users making a habit of checking their inbox every day, and Yahoo Mail users checking two to six times each day on average*, ease-of-use is top of mind. When people log into their accounts, they will be met with a clean new design and new AI-powered features to help them stay organized, summarize important messages, highlight crucial need-to-know information, and provide easy ways to take action and complete their tasks.

Take the next step - seamlessly: Users can more easily take action on an email with quick actions right from their inboxes. Add an event to the calendar, view a schedule, RSVP for an invite, track a package, check in for a flight, access a verification code, see hotel reservation details and more - with a single click.

Streamlined tasks: A brand new starred view panel gives users an easy way to see and access their most important tasks and things they may want to revisit.

Hello modern inbox: The Yahoo Mail inbox is getting a cleaner, more intuitive design. The desktop experience will evolve with improved navigation, and enhanced visual elements and readability.

All together now: To further streamline the email experience, users can link other email accounts to a Yahoo Mail account. With Yahoo Mail being the primary destination, users will be able to enjoy all the features they love, but still send and receive all of their emails - no matter the provider - in one spot.

The new desktop experience will be available to all new users in the U.S. and existing users will have the chance to opt-in over the coming months; the mobile app experience will follow. Learn more at

Basic download function for firefox still works (I can download things), it used to work for yahoo mail attachments, but now for last 2 days I cant download any attachments from yahoo mail (used to have no problems with yahoo mail). If I go back to IE I can download yahoo mail attachments. Havent added any new programs etc so dont know why it just started hating yahoo mail.

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article for that.

ComputerWhizThank you for the response. I did the two things you recommend and doesnt solve problem, so as you say, likely an extension problem, that I will look into later. Not a critical problem, just use IE if I have to.

Yahoo is not downloading attachments in Firefox. I cannot for the life of me discover what version I am running but the address bar says " ".I can't recall when I last downloaded but I do all the time so I think this is new this week. When I click on the "Download Attachment" link, the file scans but does not initiate a pop up to Save, etc.Gmail is downloading attachments ok in Firefox.Yahoo Basic downloads ok as well.Running Firefox in Safe Mode also allows Yahoo downloads. I went through the steps of unchecking the accelerator and disabling the extensions one by one, clearing cache and cookies with no luck.Yahoo mail downloads ok in IE and Chrome.I know others who are also having this problem.

I was having the same problem with attachment on two different computers. When I was composing email messages, I also was receiving pop-up messages as if I was trying to exit and whether I wanted to save my message to Drafts. Taking your advice, I cleared my Firefox history files, deleted my Yahoo! Mail bookmark, then logged into Yahoo! Mail at My login location is similar to the one you were seeing in Chrome:

Starting in Firefox 23, if a secure page includes certain types of insecure content, Firefox blocks the insecure content and a shield icon will appear in the address bar. See this article for more information about the new mixed content blocker: Mixed content blocking in Firefox
