Grabsome friends and spend a couple of days each handcrafting your own dream bicycle frames under the tutelage of craftsman and owner Jay Kinsinger. You will leave with a complete Diverso frame. We will work with you on ordering components of your choice. Class size range, 2-4 people. Pricing starts at $2500 per person at our Cedarville, Ohio location with a minimum of 2 people per workshop.

The Diverso frame uses the following standard geometry for sizes 52 through 62 cm. Of course, custom changes can be made to this for a fee on a case-by-case basis. Please send me an email if you have any questions about this at j...@sojourn-cyclery.com.

Give your kid the space to tinker, to engineer and to create whatever they can dream in the innovative Hobby Workshop Playhouse by KidKraft. At first glance, this slanted roof wooden building resembles a tool shed. Complete with its own roll-up "garage" door and ample windows, it has the grownup aesthetics little builders will love, but with definitely kid-approved features inside and out. There's so much to keep both their hands and their minds busy. Inside, discover an elevated desk with a smooth top for drawing or crafting. Lift up the lid to reveal storage underneath. Three paint cups are built right into the desk for easy and stable access. A wooden moveable bench is included to really get up close to your project. Varying sized storage bins clip on to the wall to hold small pieces and art supplies. Just like a makerspace area, we've installed a peg board across the back wall to be a canvas to imagination. Insert the curved sections and the spinner into the wall to create your own ramp design Drop the ball and watch gravity and inertia happen. There's also a kid-friendly hammer, screwdriver and 10 plastic bolts included to practice tool skills. Outside, a storage bin can also be used as a bench for a place to rest when you're tired of all that work. Whew! For the kid who wants more than just a simple outdoor playhouse, the Hobby Workshop is the smart choice.

Are you ready to roll up your sleeves, distress some wood and create a DIY masterpiece that you can be proud of for years to come? Come alone or bring your friends and family to share in our wood project workshops!

Kumiko is an ancient Japanese woodworking technique of assembling individual pieces of wood, without the use of nails, into geometric patterns. Kumiko has been used in constructing shoji screens, latticework, and other decorative elements in traditional Japanese architecture. In this workshop, students will learn the basics of kumiko, including the use of hand tools to cut the pieces and assemble the frame. Each student will work on a small project to finish and take home.

REFUNDS: No refunds for tardiness or no-shows. For a refund (minus a 5% processing fee), you must cancel 7 days before the start of the class. After 7 days, we cannot offer refunds, as materials and supplies have already been purchased.

If you're interested in learning wooden boatbuilding (full-size or fraction scale) I teach an online-based boatbuilding apprenticeship program that might be just the ticket for you. Or: you can start out by signing up to my free mini course. Both focus on full-size boatbuilding, but - as mentioned above - the building techniques are mostly the same.

Product description

The Workshop Chair brings a playful approach to the wooden chair. The design creates a new perspective on archetypical Scandinavian design through its thin back shell and slightly curved seat that gives the chair its distinct look.

Lacquered Oak

Oak is a traditionally Scandinavian material with durable abilities against factors such as water and fungi alongside a high level of strength, giving it long-lasting properties fit for furniture.

Both versions with PU lacquer and water-based lacquer of this product can be cleaned with alcohol disinfectant. However, please note that as wooden products will get patina where the surface color can slightly fade. If cleaning is uneven, this may become even more apparent yet the lacquer will stay in place. For wooden products in lighter colors, the patina will be less apparent.

This is a 358 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle of a playful family-friendly scene "Wizard's Workshop" by Jonik. The puzzle design by Jef Bambas reflects the magical art, utilizing mainly sinusoidal pieces with some mystical twists, a supernatural variety of connectors, and many wizardly whimsies. Overall this puzzle is average difficulty. Be careful not to let any imps or goblins steal any key pieces! Like all our puzzles, made with 1/4" thick wood and the pieces are laser-cut. Packaged in our standard pine wood box. Made in the USA.

Our wooden toys are best known for the quality of their craftsmanship. The primary material is white pine, and every board of wood is carefully selected to show off its natural beauty and grain. The completed wooden toy is finely sanded to a satin smooth natural finish

We believe that toys intended for children should be non-violent and simple in design, allowing the child to use his or her own imagination (instead of a battery) to fill in whatever details are needed at the time of play. Only those wooden toys aimed at older kids (adults) are designed with extra details.

As with most of my projects, I forgot to take a picture until it was nearly done but here is after a few hours of work. I had a friend helping me for a while but unfortunately, he had to leave right before putting the "A" frame together. I think this was the hardest part since two long sheets of plywood don't generally want to stay up by themselves while I screw them in. I finally got it with the help of a few clamps. Here is the almost finished project. The only thing left is to put wheels on and fill it full of wood. Now I can organize all of my wood and small cuts. The sheet goods I need might still be in the back of the pile but now I can slide it out instead of moving it all to get what I need out of the cramped space. Lessons LearnedThe bigger the wheels the better. When you fill this up with wood it gets heavy, bigger wheels make it much easier to move. This kind of goes along with #1 but since it's so heavy, I should have probably used thicker plywood and maybe done some better supports on the inside. Right now I am moving it from the bottom so the top doesn't bend too much. This gets harder on my back as it gets more and more wood.Add some hand holes on both sides. I might still do this since it is pretty easy to do after the fact but some holes on both sides would make it easier to grab and move around. Hey everyone! If you read my post last Monday, I shared with you all about the DIY Workshop Virtual Party. Today myself and some fellow bloggers get to share with you our versions of the wooden door mat project. First, a little about the DIY Workshops at your local The Home Depot stores.

If your doormat is going outside, I would recommend giving it a coat of waterproofing wood finish after your stain has dried. This will give you doormat a longer life, and make it a lot easier to keep clean!!

Now you might be thinking if this is a party where are all the people at?!? I have them for you right here. Below are links to some amazing bloggers who have created their own version of the DIY wooden doormat. Go check them out and be prepared to be amazed!!

Hey Ashley!

Thank you so much for your sweet words! I swear they are super easy to make, no matter how little experience you have, you can make them! If you live somewhere close to me, I will absolutely build you some though! Email me cara.theinspiredworkshop(at)gmail.com and let me know where you are located! Thanks for stopping by, have a good one!

These planters turned out so cute!!! They are the perfect finishing touch on your porch. This would be such a fun summer project. We are doing some kitchen cabinet refinishing next week so maybe after that this will be next on our to-do list. Thanks so much for sharing!!!

All the lovely images on The Inspired Workshop are Copyright of the Inspired Workshop and although I love for you to share my content with others, if you want to use my photos you will need to obtain permission. Roundup posts are welcome to use 1 photo with a link back to my site!

We're tasked by the state with responding to wildfires. We study weather patterns, drought cycles and the status of vegetation across the state to predict when and where dangerous fire conditions may occur. Should a wildfire ignite, we maintain a statewide network of strategically-placed teams of firefighters and equipment so that we're able to respond quickly when the call comes.

Rural fire departments respond to 80 percent of wildfires in Texas - and they do it with shoestring budgets and almost entirely with volunteers. We help fire departments pay for needed training and equipment and help Texans learn how to prevent, prepare for and protect against wildfire.
