Akele Hum Akele Tum (I'm Alone, You Are Alone) is a 1995 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film starring Aamir Khan, Manisha Koirala and Master Adil, and directed by Mansoor Khan. The music is by Anu Malik and the lyrics are by Majrooh Sultanpuri. The film is loosely based on the 1979 American film Kramer vs. Kramer.[2] Both Aamir Khan and Manisha Koirala's performances were acclaimed; the latter also received a nomination under the Best Actress category at the 41st Filmfare Awards. Although the film was well received with critics, it did not connect with the audience.[3]

Meanwhile, Kiran becomes a huge film star. She tries to reconcile with Rohit but as luck would have it, Rohit is a proud man and misinterprets her support as her pity and things become worse. A court case is eventually filed for the custody of Sunil.

When young Mansoor Khan was to make his feature film debut, he decided to opt for relatively new composing duo Anand-Milind with whom he had worked for a Doordarshan tele-film starring Amole Gupte, called Umberto. Mansoor Khan also picked the relatively new Udit Narayan as the lead singer for Aamir Khan, and Udit had worked on Umberto too, incidentally.

By now, it is well-known that the soundtrack of Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak is one of the best-selling Bollywood soundtrack albums of the 1980s with more than 8 million soundtrack albums sold and was a breakthrough for the careers of Anand-Milind, Udit Narayan and record label T-Series. The film is filled with hugely successful songs and one of those songs happen to be 'Akele Hain To Kya Gum Hai'.

And that, in my opinion, is one of the MOST heart-breaking discoveries of plagiarism in Indian film music. It is so blatant and bizarre that every time I tell people this, and play both songs back to back, their first reaction is, 'C'mon, that's someone playing the instrumental version of the Hindi song on stage somewhere!'.

Karena ceritanya tentang perceraian rumah tangga pasutri yang sama-sama dari dunia seni. Cuman di film ini pasutri dari dunia tarik suara. Sama-sama penyanyi. Sama-sama pengen menggapai mimpi tapi ternyata nggak bisa sama-sama.

One gets the feeling that the controversy in the Kramer vs Kramer film with a woman abandoning her child and husband because she is so unhappy, which was somewhat shocking in 1979 US, still had the same impact in 1995 in India. But there had to be a happy ending since it is Bollywood, not the nuanced ending of Kramer vs. Kramer.

Talking about the same, Anshuman said, "Midnight Delhi is a special film. Its about one night in Delhi & this character 'Blademan' took me to some dark places. I am grateful to IIFFB and CSAIFF for giving the film a platform. As for Hum Bhi Akele... I am happy it will be on the big screen in Boston which is what it was meant for originally. Hope the LGBTQ community in Boston showers it with the same love that the 10million + viewers have on OTT."

Aamir Khan once spoke about an incident when his Akele Hum Akele Tum co-star Manisha Koirala got angry with the actor during the shoot of the movie. The actor was a guest on Simi Garewal's chat show, Rendezvous with Simi Garewal, where he spoke about how he shot for different scenes with his female co-stars. When Simi reminded Aamir that he was 'unfriendly' with Manisha Koirala during the film's shoot, he talked about it. (Also Read Aamir Khan takes son Azad for a weekend outing, poses with a smile. The host then said that Manisha once reminded him that he 'gave very indifferent unfriendly vibes during Akele Hum Akele Tum'. She also told Aamir that he responded to Manisha saying, "Oh but the script required me to be like that". Aamir replied, "Manisha was really mad at me when she heard this. The script required that we don't get along and stuff like that. So when I started doing the film I just maintained a certain distance from her."

Akele Hum Akele Tum (1995) is a romantic drama film starring Aamir, Manisha, and Master Adil. Directed by Mansoor Khan, the film is loosely based on the 1979 American film Kramer vs Kramer. In the film, Aamir plays Rohit, an aspiring singer while Manisha essays the role of Kiran, an ambitious classical singer-in-training. They get married but after opposition from her family, they decide to lead separate lives.

Aamir and Manisha also featured together in Mann (1999), a romantic drama film written and directed by Indra Kumar. The film also starred Anil Kapoor, Sharmila Tagore, and Neeraj Vora with Rani Mukerji in a special appearance.

7. Did the film receive any awards?
Yes, the film received several awards, including the Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer (Udit Narayan) and the Screen Award for Best Female Debut (Manisha Koirala).

In conclusion, Akele Hum Akele Tum is a remarkable film that explores the sacrifices made for love and the pursuit of dreams. The talented cast, led by Aamir Khan and Manisha Koirala, brought their characters to life with their exceptional performances. The film continues to be cherished by audiences, making it a timeless classic in Bollywood.

Mann remains the only anamoly for Aamir Khan under the baton of director Indra Kumar, otherwise the success rate for the combo remains a hundred per cent. Mann was heavily inspired from the Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr starrer An Affair To Remember. The Leo McCarey-directed film was nominated in four categories during the 30th Academy Awards.

Elated on receiving the award, Vyas said: "This is heartening. Anshuman was the first actor who green lit this project after several big names had refused it as they were worried about the concept. We developed the script for over a year, took it to the film market and made it in record time."

"I thank Anshuman for being the backbone of this film through development and shoot - and according to me giving his most nuanced performance since 'Love Sex Aur Dhoka'. To Zareen for auditioning and playing Mansi with the attitude that she has - they will win many hearts," he added.
