Hi friends

I'm delighted to share with you the plan for Yom Kippur.

On Sunday evening, September 27, at 6 PM we will start Kol Nidrei on zoom (see the zoom link below.) Note that we will start pretty much on time.

On Monday, September 28 from 11 AM to 4 PM will be meeting in person, in the Anna Jones Memorial Garden (that's on the south side of the chapel). During that time we will do studying, some chatting, some reflecting and basically just enjoy being together as a masked and physically distanced community during the fast. Here's the thing: we are limited to seventeen students (plus Rachel me and my aide equals the 20-person limit). Based on previous years, that should not be a problem – we usually don't get more than about ten students. But just to make sure please email me (Nel...@Bard.edu) by Sunday morning and tell me when you want to be there with us. You're welcome to be there the whole time, or for just part of it, but please email me in advance so I can make sure we don't go over our 17 student limit any point.

Finally, on Monday evening at 6:30 PM will begin our memorial service (Yizkor) and are concluding service (Ne'ilah). That will all conclude with the blowing of the shofar at 7:25 PM. And although we can't have our communal break-the-fast I am assured by our friends at Parkhurst that hot dinner is served until 8 p.m, so no worries about you. The availability of food after the fast.

I hope you can join us for the holiday! Warmest wishes to all Bardians for a happy and especially healthy new year!

L' shalom,
David

Hello again! I guess it would help if I actually included the zoom link! My apologies. Here it is:
