Hello everyone! There are several events coming up, so here's a quick
run through:

1) Foi Gras Protest TONIGHT!

A protest has been organized tonight in Winter Park at Luma
Restaurant. They still serve foie gras, a liver pate that is made from
the swollen livers of force-fed ducks and geese. This practice has
been outlawed in Chicago and California as well as and 16 countries
across the globe due to it's barbaric and cruel nature. Come out and
take a stand againt such gross mistreatment of animals!

Activists will be meeting in front of Luma, which is located at 290 S.
Park Ave. To RSVP or arrainge for transportation, you can contact that
protest coordinator at heatr...@yahoo.com

2) Huntington Life Sciences Protest SATURDAY!

Saturday is the Global Day of Action against HLS, so activists will be
demonstration on Saturday Nov. 10 at 11:30. We will be meeting in
downtown Orlando at the corner of Church and Garland near the Cheyenne
Saloon.

In solidarity with hundreds of other activist comrades across the
globe who will be raising their fists in protest of the vile and
notoriously violent animal testing laboratory Huntingdon Life
Sciences, Central Florida activists will join in mass protest against
HLS. This is a laboratory that has been exposed in several undercover
investigations for falsifying scientific data, being drunk and high on
the job, punching a four month old beagle puppy in the face when he
cried out in pain (view this footage at insidehls.com) dissecting a
money while he was still alive and fully conscience and violating
animal welfare laws over 600 times. At HLS laboratories, 500 sentient
beings each day are violated, tortured, poisoned, butchered, burned
and mutilated to death every single day of the week- for things like
Splenda, toothpaste, viagra, pesticides and pharmaceutical drugs that
do nothing but go on to poison humans as well.

Come out an make the torture stop! Materials will be provided!

3) Progressive Thanksgiving!

Progressive Council at UCF is hosting a Progressive Thanksgiving! The
potluck style all vegetarian and vegan event will be held in Blanchard
Park at 1:00 on Saturday Nov. 17. There will be food, fun activities,
and fellow UCF progressives, so come on our for the festivities!

4) Philosophy Colloquium

Dr. Michael Strawser, and professor at UCF, will be having a talk
about speciesism, which should be very interesting and is relevant to
our cause. It'ss open to the public, so come on out and enjoy!
