If you are interested in Ruby/Rails meetups in Barcelona, Barcelona on Rails is definitely the meetup that you are looking for. The meetups take place monthly in Xing's offices in Barcelona, and we go to have a beer together afterwards.

Besides, if you look at more generic startup-related meetups and conferences, you are very welcome at itnig (itnig.net). We organize events every week (usually more than one) in our offices, related to several startup topics: not only technology, but also business, design, marketing and so on.
