I am thinking about going back to this group as the primary startupcamp communication list and dropping all the marketing tools. The only people on this list should be people that have attended. I am not adding all those people that attended the bigger events... startupcamp is going back to this smaller is better model.

I think Waterloo is doing really awesome but I think there is way too much focus on raising money and looking sexy. We need to talk a bit more about what we are building and the poeple we are building stuff more.

...and use this little network to help each other.

Not sure if its practical or not... just would like to try.

I think that sounds great. I'm not part of the community anymore, but through the connection I had with Communitech for a couple of years (until last month), it had been disheartening to see how strong the VC fanboy clique had become.

Woo I don't get a lot of VC Fan Boy. But fundamentally the idea that a raise is success is troubling.

@Jeff - beer? yes! My evenings are pretty crazy (kids sportsing) so it might have to be a lunch beer at Bauer or something.
