BarCamp DC Update - July 25th

Friends, Romans, Countrymen... Lend me your ears.

Over at BarCamp DC HQ, we've been feverishly planning for what we think is going to be a fantastic event.   If you haven't heard already, we have some pretty cool news...

* The event will be Saturday August 11th from 9:30am till whenever.

* Fleishman-Hillard Inc. (1615 L Street NW Washington, DC 20036) has agreed to host the event.  This is a great location as it is easily accessibly from  3 metro stops (Farragut North, Farragut West, and McPherson Square).

* We have some great sponsors which have signed on to help out with the event - 200 OK LLC, CaseySoftware, LLC, Clearspring Technologies, Inc., Culture Captioning, Fleishman-Hillard Inc., Jounce, Metroblogging DC, nclud , SET Consulting LLC, Sunlight Foundation, Viget Labs (and more coming soon)

* There are a few ways to keep track of the event, through our Web site (http://barcampdc.org), through our Twitter feed ( http://twitter.com/barcampdc) or through our Flickr group (http://www.flickr.com/groups/barcampdc)

* We're working on free lunch and tshirts for the event.  We're also working on getting lots of prizes and surprises for throughout the day.

* If you haven't done this already, please go to the Wiki attendees page and mark your tshirt size so we can get the right amounts.
