hey guys:
Barcamp is coming up (Saturday Jan 20th)! There are a few loose ends
that need to be tied up and I would really appreciate it if you guys
could help with them.

1. Event structure: We have around 10 people intersted in
participating and presenting. How do we schedule these? We have a good
mix of hardcore technical presentations and business-y presentations.
With a total of 20-30 total attendees, I think at most 2 parallel
tracks would be optimal (any more might be spreading it too thin).

On a related note, it might not be possible to uphold the ideal of
getting everyone to contribute. What are your thoughts on this?

2. T-shirts: Ideas for t-shirt sponsorships? I've contacted someone
who can make these t-shirts in a rush... so please be on the lookout
until Thursday.

3. Timing: I've updated the Wiki to set the starting time to 4pm.
Given the number of sessions and the mix of the attendees, this might
be just right. What do you think?

And why do we fall? So we can learn to pick ourselves up.

Yup! Let us define "contribution" in a more open manner - contribution in discussions should be considered as contribution too, not neccessarily presentation ya? Also, 2 parallel tracks would be good.

Also, to contribute to the spirit of informality - we can do something like a "all shoes off" kinda setting!

Let us bank on 6 presenters, in accordance to slots. I have divided the wiki up into the respective slots, so please fill up in accordance! Anymore we can accomodate accordingly too!

4pm to 7pm seems to be ideal. Lets do it then.

I agree with Ming Yeow. I also think your point on the T shirts is not feasible. Not enough time. Where will the money for this come from as well and is there a design? what is the purpose of the shirts? To sell it to participants?

the design is not a problem. The estimated cost is 500$.

Hello Chandra,

Let's just spend the money more conservatively first. $500 can do alot
in terms of venue, food and equipment.

T-shirts are too early. I really like the idea, event and concept.

Would love to contribute, but I don't want to talk on tech-y stuff. We
have too much of that already.

*thinking of more topics*

yup! there are a lot of avenues to get $$ next time, but maybe we can take this time as a fun time, to feel what it is like, and next time lets plan for bigger badder things!
