Hi Barcampers,

We have opened up registration for a Nexus pre-event on the 22nd, called Geekout: Innovators Unleashed!

GeekOut is an informal event where we place the spotlight on innovators in our community who are working on making waves in the technology arena, particularly in the web and mobile space!

To kick things off, we will have Andreas Weigend and Nat Torkington (bios below) share what they think are examples of great innovation, and then 4 of our local technologists will do a short preso+demo of what the cool projects they have been working on.
  • R Chandrasekar from Radixs -> ( Velvet Puffin, "Always On" Mobile Social Network,First Singaporean Company on Techcrunch, Profile)

  • Rex Guo from Muvee -> (Shwup, Duper Cool P2P meets Music)

  • Sivam Krish from Genometri( Enbaling mass 3D customization)

  • Roberto Mariani from XiD (Integration of Face Recognition Technology into various applications)
We are also getting some folks from the local community to update us about what they are doing. For example, we have Matthew's brand new music system, Darius's realtime backing up and tracking of mobile devices,  and Choon Keat's  direct commenting system on web pages.

End of the day, Geekout! is essentially a celebration of technology and innovation, as well as part of our ongoing efforts to create 2-way interaction between overseas folks and the local community.

Very limited spaces, add your name to the wiki now to RSVP!

Cheers,
Meow
