BarCampians, (Is that a what we are?)
In case you haven't noticed, registration for BarCampOrlando is now open (
http://www.BarCampOrlando.org). Since last thursday 80 people have registered for Dev Day (Saturday, April 5th), and 77 for Media day (Sunday, April 6th), pretty sweet! If you want any flyers to hand out at your workplace, I'll be at the Florida Creatives on the 17th.
You have until March 21st if you want to be a sponsor and get on the T-shirt, information here: (
http://www.BarCampOrlando.org/sponsor).
Here are some other events going on around town this month, you probably should be aware of:
Tuesday, March 4 (today) - 7 PM at Devry
Adobe Users of Greater Orlando (
http://www.adogo.us)
Thursday, March 13 - 7 PM at the Hard Rock Cafe
They Might Be Giants. Okay, it's not a tech event, but I'm sure there will be plenty of geeks out for this Band. Come build a little bird house in your soul, hopefully see you there.
Monday, March 17 - 6 PM at Crooked Bayou
Florida Creatives (
http://www.FloridaCreatives.com)
Thursday, March 20 - 7 PM at Orlando Tech
Orlando Podcasting Meetup (
http://podcasting.meetup.com/94/)
Saturday, March 22 - 8 AM at Seminole Community College Heathrow Campus
Orlando Code Camp (
http://www.orlandocodecamp.com/)
Thursday, March 27 - 7 PM at Devry
Orlando Ruby Users Group (
http://www.orug.org)
Lastly, it looks like a few people are trying again to get Co-working going, every Tuesday at B&S Market. I'll be there next week.
