Hey Barcampians,

Few things to talk to you this month.

First up there's the Orlando Code Dojo.  If you're passionate about improving your programing skills and walking down the road of software craftsmanship, then I recommend you checkout the Orlando Code Dojo.  The first Code Dojo is taking place this Thursday night at CoLab Orlando at 7 PM.  See the mailing list here for more info: http://bit.ly/otowndojo FYI, if you're passionate about your language, you may want to attend to show off your skills (otherwise we'll take that as a sign that it's a dying breed).

Join the google group and take the first step to improving yourself as a programmer: http://groups.google.com/group/orlando-dojo/subscribe

Next if you're a designer or media guy then you should know that Refresh Orlando is having another go. Yes yes yes, this is like the 5th or 6th time someone has tried to restart the group, but I have high hopes this time. Check out their website at http://refresh-orlando.org and join their google groups to stay up to date: http://refresh-orlando.org/contact/

Lastly, I wanted to mention that CoLab Orlando (Orlando's Premiere Co-working space) has been growing in popularity. The 8th floor (formerly where the UCF incubator was) has been taken over by CoLab to provide additional rental suites. I work down on the 6th floor with Envy Labs, and it's been incredibly valuable to our company to be surrounded by other startups (many of whom we now work with). If you work independently or for a small company I highly recommend you come visit sometime. Every friday is still free in the shared working space, and we'd be happy to show you around. See http://bit.ly/ocolab for location information, and if you come by Thursday night for the Dojo I'd be happy to give you the grand tour.

Have a great holiday season, and stay tuned for the new year when we'll start the ball rolling for BarCampOrlando 2010.
