BarCampNYC5 Pre-kickoff!

Hey hey everybody!

I believe the last time we discussed a timeline for BCNYC5 planning, we were aiming to do our first warmup meeting in January and pursue a lightweight, abbreviated meeting schedule to take us to an end-of-May event.

Since it's January, now's probably a good time for us to get started! 

Interest Meeting

Should be sometime in a couple of weeks from now, unless somebody speaks up otherwise now. As always, NWC is available and free to *Camp planners if we want to use it. This would likely be the most high-level meeting, where we'd discuss how we want to approach the format this year and any changes to be made.

If you haven't switched over yet, the new crew will be forming at http://groups.google.com/group/barcampnyc5 , as per tradition. This should be one of the last threads to go to the old BCNYC4 group.

Right now it's mostly placeholder stuff, but the structure is there so we can start filling it up.

Lastly, longtime BarCamper Eric Skiff has volunteered to pick up coordinating duties this time around. He'll be following up with some of his thoughts.

How's this sound to everybody? I wanted to see if there was anything else we should discuss in terms of date/timing/format before setting up the first interest meeting.
