Hi all

Great #BCL8! Well done. Is there going to be a debrief?

As some of you already know, I am planning to move flat in the new year. At the same time, I am tidying up my bank accounts (too many) and that means cutting my ties with HSBC. At the moment BCLPA uses my address and has an account at HSBC in Folkestone. My mate Roger left HSBC last March and since then I've had a bit too much aggro with them. So two things for the agenda:

1. the address has to change
2. the bank - may or may not change - and who needs to be an authorised signatory?

Thanks

Paul

Yes we're gonna have a debrief, all in good time. For the bank stuff talk to Emma and Kevin.

I made a quick doodle for the debrief. The current idea is to meetup
at the restaurant in Fullham that gave us dinner on Saturday.

On a note: please only people that helped out in the weekend or the
weeks before should fill in the doodle. People who are part of the
group but never helped out are sadly not invited.

Hi guys

that sounds very good. Only one thing, it's a delicatessen more than a restaurant. The have high tables which probably could fit about 12 people but on a busy (Aperitivo) night the tables might be moved to the side to have room for standing.

Either way the atmosphere is fantastic and the food delicious :)

Depending on which evening we go, it might be only us + some regulars, or on Aperitivo nights it can be busy.

On the Aperitivo night, the format is £5 for your first drink which then allows you to eat as much as you want from the hot and cold buffet with food coming out from about 7.30/8 to about 22. You then pay £5 for the drinks you buy thereafter,

Depending on which format you think it's best (sitting at high tables on a quieter night or standing up on an Aperitivo night) I can check with the owner what to expect.

Looking forward to cheer and toast to everybody's hard work!

Ah, otherwise we can go somewhere else. Let's leave that for later to decide.

Kudos to y'all. I did not attend but followed the tweets. I wish to
get more involved next time.
I'm working on a Barcamp in Livingstone, Zambia. There is some
interest on the ground level.
Also, the current Minister of Education @DoraSiliya is supportive.
.
Of course, your expertise will be highly appreciated if you have the
stamina for African developer events.

All the best

Hi Sam,

We will be running more meetups in the future to help people setup their own events and we will be working on BCL9 eventually too. For now this particular meetup is just for people involved with BCL8.

It'll be interesting to get to know you all in a slightly less busy
environment :)

Are we getting Sainsbury's to cater?

Hi,

The poll included today as a possible meet-up day. I assume that it's
NOT today, but on Mon 29th or Tues 30th November, when 18 people
(including the main organisers) can make it (because less people can
come on the other days)? Who will decide the final date, and where to
meet?

I propose to meet up on Mon 29th at Belgo Centraal, because it's
central, affordable and large (although a bit loud), and Monday
probably won't be busy.

Address:
http://www.belgo-restaurants.co.uk/locations
50 Earlham Street
Tel.0207 813 2233

Site:
http://www.belgo-restaurants.co.uk/

Menu (not much choice for vegetarians):
http://tragusgroup.s3.amazonaws.com/belgo/pdfmenus/4ca98f1a6db3c_20149%20central%201010%20p1-4.pdf

Let me know if I need to reserve somewhere,

Carin
