Why don't we try to get this foursquare badge? You get it if 250 people checkin in the same place at once. I know not everybody has foursquare or will be there all at the same time but would it not be good fun to try?

Might be fun! We'll have to ensure we have both Foursquare and Gowalla BCL8 spots set up before we open the doors on Saturday.

I'll set up the Gowalla one if you do the FourSquare :-)

Is Terrance coming? He is setting up a global checkin service that also includes QR codes. Might be worth asking if he wants to try anything at BCL8. Should I ask?

Nothing stopping you. Not sure if he's coming. Check the "who's coming" on the site

Why stop at Super, isn't there an Epic swarm badge now?

The super Duper is for 500 and the Epic 1000 but I think we can make the Super Swarm :)

You can't create a place for an event in foursquare, although we could, by cheating.

Should we use this location http://foursquare.com/venue/1003885

or should we cheat and make our own for the event?

The Semantic Web purist in me says: leave it as it is.

The person who has already checked in a number of times to the venue
on Foursquare says: leave it as it is. ;-)

So we should encourage checkining in into http://foursquare.com/venue/1003885 :)

Foursquare convention is to use the existing venue premises entry. Gowalla people (tsk) however create custom venues per-event.

And an epic swarm would be possible with cheating. Cheating is the main use case of 4sq right?

I expect some ranting on TechGrumps about this later, though!
