Startup Saturday Kolkata, November edition brings to you two startup showcases this month:
Business Showcase: uHook USB Disk Security

uHook Personal is a data theft prevention product to protect your files from getting stolen or accidently leaked out of your PC through unauthorized USB storage devices like Flash Drives, External USB Hard Drives, IPODS, Cameras, Cell Phones etc.The product is designed keeping in mind the requirement of a home PC user.
In this showcase, Vikram will take us through their whole experience of how the product was built, his learnings from that and how they went about & are going about selling the product.
Vikram is a graduate from Indian Institute of Technology(IIT), Kharagpur. He has been a part of various information security exercises including network security audits, vulnerability analysis, network security training program, data security audits and a former core team member of a highly rewarded network security company from India. His area of expertise is Data Loss Prevention(DLP) and EndPoint Extrusion Prevention. He has been heading all the major R&D and development initiatives on endpoint security products of the company.

A health-drink startup, The Juice Station is one of its kind in India, and a first one we suppose. It's first outlet is going to be launched just a few days before the Startup Saturday.
And guess what. This outlet is going to run out of a single mobile van, which apparently has permission to operate only in a few limited areas of Kolkata, Salt Lake sector 5 being one of them.
The founder, Arundhati Dutta, was a management consultant with Delloite in NYC, before she decided to take a plunge and came down to Kolkata in January this year.
Arundhati will take us through how she came up with the novel idea and the challenges she has faced till now, while you could help her brainstorm new possibilities to her product and business! We're sure, The Juice Station will have some moolah in the form of really healthy juice for all the feedback she takes home! :)

StartupCamp Pitches are 5-minute pitches to quickly present your ideas to the audience, and take back some feedback while you interact with people in the networking session.
Every Startup Saturday Kolkata will have a number of StartupCamp Pitches and for each month, we shall also have an investor present as a part of the StartupCamp exercise. In case he/she/they like your idea(s), you might be able to take things to the next level with them!
We will soon announce the investor who would be present for
November. So gear up your thoughts, roll your sleeves and fire your
pitches.
Registrations will be taken on the spot on first-come first-serve basis.
