Need advise on improving a to do list site

Guys,

Need advise on improving a to do list site. 

They are using LAMP stack with Laravel PHP framework, Bootstrap and JQuery. 

The idea is to have an app based on the system as well. 

Currently the site takes a lot of time to load content even when the content is only small lists (<50, no audio/video)

Any advices on what they are doing wrong? 

Any suggestions on improving the stack or changing it for the better are welcome. This is for a startup company. 

They may also be happy to hire some one if needed.

Hi Juwal,

Ask them to do a profiling and see where the issue is.

Useful tools are xhprof, kcache grid and also use mysql slow query logger.
