Hey Guys,

BarCampKC 2010 is cancelled. Unfortunately there wasn’t enough
interest to cover venue cost. We would like to thank everyone who did
sign up as an attendee — your support is greatly appreciated. Refunds
will issued over the upcoming week.

Thank you for your support.

Aww... bummer. I was hoping work would fly me back for a YQL talk, but they haven't signed off on it yet.  The short notice makes it a little complicated and flights were more $ than I was willing to spend on my own.  Next time though, if I have a month or two notice, I'm in!

Yahoo! sponsors Barcamps around the country, so let me know what you guys need next time and I'll see if there is anything I can do.

As of 5:00 today, BarCampKC is back on! Since the cancellation
announcement was shared, the guys at the Cowtown Computer
Congress(CCCKC) expressed interest to make BarCampKC 2010 happen.
They decided to offer up their space free of charge. To keep cost low,
no breakfast or lunch will be served at the space, but there are
volunteer opportunities to bring breakfast or lunch to share.

Please RSVP to show your support for the event, http://barcampkc-2010.eventbrite.com/.
Also check the BarCampKC Wiki page for presentation information and
volunteer needs.

We will see you on Saturday!

Again thanks to CCCKC for volunteering their space.
