Staffing and Operations

First I want to thank Steven for asking CCCKC to provide ops support
for the event. We have corresponded about what we need, and I think
that staffing can be handled by all CCCKC members. If you're
interested in volunteering, you should join.

Just kidding. If you would like to lend a hand, send me an email
directly and we'll get you set up.

We're still awaiting access to JavaPort to get a feel for what we'll
be working with as far as power, network infrastructure and general
lay out goes but hope to do that soon (really soon as we're quickly
running out of time) and will get ideas and plans out to this group.

In the meantime, we need to get our hardware squared away. Items
which we will need include:

Projectors (3+)
AV cables (long VGA cables in particular)
PA systems (2)
Tables
Chairs
Extension cords and plug strips
Gaffer tape
Projector screens (CCCKC has one, but we'll need at least two more)

I'm interested to see network infrastructure at JavaPort and would
like to explore the possibility of having a local ISP hook us up with
some additional (and free) bandwidth for the weekend. If anyone has
connections in this area, please let me know.

Staff will be wearing shirts to help attendees identify us, so a
design for the front of the shirts would be great to start with.
