Hey Folks,
We made some great progress on this years Barcamp at today's meeting.
Here are the takeaways:
- Since we've got the mechanics of barcamp figured out, focus on
marketing the event and raising awareness.
- Focus on bringing in more diverse population, including
* *Tech, Civic, Design, Family, University
- Make the event more accessible. *To that end:
* *- Create posters to promote during Forward Tech Fest Week
* *- Rename our Barcamp, Currently planning to call it "MadCamp"
* *- Pull in the crowds above
- MC's/Kickoff announcers: Greg Tarnoff & Jonathan
- Looking at ULI location (like last year) or UW, Union South, etc
- Maybe do a big 'ol cookout sometime during FTF week to raise awareness
