As you can see, it is an ad-hoc unconference with no preset session
agenda at the start of the day (although it does have rules:
http://www.barcamp.org/TheRulesOfBarCamp). It is a place for geeks to
gather, connect and talk about / demo cool stuff we're working on or
thinking about.
If you're interested in helping to plan it, volunteering,
participating or are just curious to learn more about the first

The venue and date are picked (I could not find any area conflicts
with this date other than an evening concert at the Civic Center:
Clint Black - Up Close and Personal). However, with only 9 weeks left
until BarCamp, it will be up to BarCampers to really make things
happen. Do you know of a good band we can bring in for the day? Can
you get your company to donate to the cause? Do you have something
interesting to demo to a group of people gathering around your
laptop? Can you lend BarCamp one of the many LCD projectors that will
be in use on the 22nd? Let us know and we'll see you on September
22nd!
