Award Category Details SOM Award for Excellence in IT Adoption To be awarded to a company that has demonstrated excellence in IT adoption to build more efficient business processes SOM Award for Innovation To be awarded to the company that has developed a new product by utilizing new and innovative technology or development of new processing techniques or modification of existing machinery for higher productivity SOM Award for Social Impact To be awarded to the company that has developed a product that has led to more cost effective/affordable solution for a product that has large social implications SOM Award for Innovation in Waste Management To be awarded to the company that has adopted new/innovative technology in waste utilization into products or creating new recycling technology or new product design for improved recyclability of waste SOM Award for Woman Entrepreneur of the Year To be awarded to the manufacturing company that has been founded and led by a Women Entrepreneur SOM Award for Young Entrepreneur To be awarded to the manufacturing company that has been founded and led by an Entrepreneur of age under 30 SOM Award for the Most Promising International Business Leader To be awarded to the export champion in the manufacturing domain
