Friday and Saturday I spent a little time around Tony Cecala. He runs the Wordpress Meetup Group.

Their facility for meetings was the Art Institute of Dallas (Central and Park Lane). I have no contacts there, but if none of the college campuses work out, perhaps that would be an alternate venue to scout. The saturday meeting was a large area, with tables and chairs for more than 100 (as well as a speaker system for mics), and the hallways were lined with smaller classrooms which hopefully could be made available.

The Wordpress Meetup held their own local conference event not too long ago, but Tony is looking for more interaction with the developer community, and showed some interest in BarCamp. If you need, I can provide his email address.
