Attendees: Sukumar, Gapp, Ramanujum, Moyeen, Swami, Rupya and myself

Finalizing date, venue and theme for the event was the core objective of the meeting. We started discussing about the possible venues for the event and listed out the following venues as the option. People marked against each venue will update the venue availability along with other details before this weekend.

1. Anna univ - Vicky with the help of Kiruba will finalize
2. DLF -Rupya
3. Olympia - Rupya
4. Star city Kodambakkam - Rupya Ganesh
5. Ascendes - Swami
6. Thoughtworks ofz - Sagaro with the help of Sid

As the dates are subject to the availability of suitable venue, the tentative dates April 19 and 20 remains tentative :) even now and will be finalized in a week time.

Then we had a very long discussion abt the theme for the event. Most of us agreed with the point that we must have an event where everyone should learn instead of having "let me introduce/you know" speeches . Myself and Sagaro tried hard to convince the rest to have the barcamp with "Gaming" as the theme but failed to do so. But the concerns raised like very narrowed topic, only limited crowd can attend, its an event after a gap of nearly two years and so we must accommodate more people etc looks valid and acceptable. After a prolonged discussion Moyeen's concept "Howto" camp impressed everyone.

Howto camp is an excellent concept and perfect fit for the unconference. Starting from How to make Sizzling brownie in 5 mins to a geeky topic like how to make Search engine crawler, How to buy a perfect gift for his/her valentine to How to reduce attrition rate of your company ... nd as i said, a perfect fit for the unconf. But at the same time, Success entirely depends on the variety and the attendees, Otherwise it will be huge flop.

Let us begin from here.

How to make this event a grand success !!!

Share your opinions and let us begin.

That's great :-). But, as you said, we should concentrate on a how-to theme rather than a generic how-to camp. It will make sure we get the correct audience.

i shall want to take  this consolidation work of the domains
but so far we have not started a site for our tkf
this will be the right time to start a site for tkf and consolidate all domains into it
or
v can just start a multi author blog for the time being and put these domains as links in that blog.
what say folks
