How do you take OS screenshots?

Hi,
I have Win XP and have been planning to install Ubuntu, when I thought of blogging my experiences with the installation. For this, I wanted screenshots. Whenever I need to take screenshots ,I do so by pressing the Print Screen button on the keyboard and then saving it via MS Paint.
However, since I am installing, I cannot switch over to MS Paint and save my content. So how do we see installation screenshots on OS reviews? How do reviewers take screenshots?

an easy way is to use your digital / mobile camera
