World Cup of Internet Governance: Remote Participation Hub on 23 and 24 April at IIT Research Park - of possible interest to Barcamp Members

May be of interest to some participants of this list:

There will be a multi-stakeholder meeting on current Internet Governance issues at Brazil on 23rd and 24th, at Ministerial level , high level Business and Civil Society and Technical Community participation from over 20 counties, including India and US. This meeting is called NETmundial, it is to decide on some policy issues related to Internet Governance. What is special about this meeting is that it is a Multi-Stakeholder meeting, wherein Governments, Civil Society and Business "Stakeholders" are equally seated. Participant in Brazil and those who connect to the meeting though Remote participation Hubs participate equally. 

Internet Society India Chennai Chapter is setting up a Remote Particiaption Hub at IIT Research Park, with very limited seats, no fees payable. Timings 23 & 24 4 30 pm to 2.00 am. Yes 2.00 am. We will be in a position to include Technical and Non-Technical partipants with a good idea about Internet Governance issues, who are willing to take part with a serious commitment.
